Setting sun on Lindisfarne

I took the reference photograph and had the inspiration for this painting whilst enjoying a stunning sunset on the Island of Lindisfarne.
It was very peaceful and calm and colours of the sky were magnificent. I have seen many beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the island, and this is one of my favourites. I love how the setting sun is framed between the trees, and the whole island was bathed in soft orange light. .

Collaborative community artwork
This is part of a 5 metre mixed media artwork I completed collaboratively with a village community in Derbyshire. The community had done research into how the village street appeared in the mid-20th Century and these are sections of the artwork that brings their research to life. The full frieze is on display at the Community Centre.

A Walk Along the Coast
I love to be by the coast, and this image was inspired by my many visits to the stunning North Devon coastline.
I painted this on a metre long canvas to enable me to give a sense of the wide bay and distant headland. Its painted using acrylics and watercolours.
